East Lancs Railway - Bury Bolton Street Train Station

The delightful East Lancashire railway is a stones throw away from Bury main shopping area. Offering diesel, steam and electric services across the Irwell Valley through Bury from Heywood, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall the is a superb day out for all the family.

Tickets can be bought inside the station entrance.  The station interior has an atmosphere of yesteryear with its sky blue tiles and beautifully preserved wood panels, counter and ticket window.   Bolton Street station makes a wonderful start to your journey.  Snacks can be purchased trackside from the cafe or I would strongly recommend if you can, the ultimate treat  - booking and dining in a Pullman coaches pulled by a vintage steam engine.
